Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and race car driver Marlon Stockinger have called it quits after being in an on-and-off relationship for almost three years, according to sources.
A quick look into their respective Instagram accounts give clues on the breakup.
The photos of Marlon on Pia’s account have been deleted. On the other hand, his last post about her was uploaded May.
Pia and Marlon, a professional car race driver, were together for three years.
“Yes, it’s confirmed [that they’ve broken up] and you can quote me on that,” Infantado-Fernandez was quoted as saying.
“On and off naman na matagal na, but ‘yung final was October pa,” she added
In a statement released through her business manager Rikka Infantado Fernandez on Friday, December 6, the actress and former beauty queen confirmed that she and Marlon have parted.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has denied reports that her break up with race car driver Marlon Stockinger was due to money issues.
After confirming that they have parted ways, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach clarified on Friday that her ex-boyfriend and professional racecar driver Marlon Stockinger and his family never depended on her financially.
“It’s true that Marlon and I are no longer together. I wish him and his family well, and out of respect for them, let me make it clear – Marlon and his family never depended on me financially,” the beauty queen said in a statement released by her manager Rikka Infantado- Fernandez.
“This will be my only statement on the matter. Thank you for your support,” she added.
Following the breakup announcement, the two unfollowed each other on social media, with Pia's Instagram feed no longer showing photos of them together.
Rikka earlier told entertainment website Pep that prior to the breakup, the two already had issues that they managed to fix.
The entertainment website went on to tap another source, who claimed that Stockinger’s being “jobless” is one of the reasons why Wurtzbach ended their relationship.
Neither Wurtzbach nor Stockinger have yet to address the issue.
